1 lb. ground beef
1 c. bread crumbs
c. diced, canned tomatoes
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. basil (optional)
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
6 slices bacon

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375
Grease a loaf pan.
In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except bacon.
Place meat mixture into a loaf pan, slightly mounding the center.
Place the bacon crosswise around the meat, tucking the ends in.
Bake for 60 min. or until done.
