¾ C butter- flavored Crisco
1¼ light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Tbsp milk
1 Tbsp vanilla
1 egg
1¾ C all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
¾ tsp baking soda
1 C chocolate chips
1 C chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together Crisco and brown sugar. Add milk, and vanilla, mixing well. Add egg. Combine flour, salt, and baking soda, and mix into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Bake at 375º 8-10 minutes.

I found this recipe on the back of a can of butter-flavored Crisco. My college roommate, who was a much better cook than I, absolutely loved these cookies. Thirty plus years later, she still talks about them!
