Directions:
A favorite winter and holiday season beverage to warm your cockles! This mulled beverage can be served with no alcohol, or with Bourbon or Red Wine.
Put cinnamon sticks, Anise pods, cloves, orange slices and apple juice into a large stock pot, and simmer on low heat for 3-4 hours until the flavors are all blended together. If desired, put spices into a cheese cloth bag to make easier for serving, but this is not necessary. Add Bourbon of choice and let simmer for another 10 minutes.
For Mulled Wine, substitute 1 bottle of wine for apple juice.
