Granny's Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 c. margarine or butter
c. vegetable oil
1 c. light brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
1 c. regular oats
1 c. crushed corn flakes
3 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
c. coconut
1 c. chopped pecans

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325. Cream butter, oil, sugars, and egg, mix well. Add remaining ingredients one at a time except pecans. Stir in pecans last. Form dough into balls the size of walnuts, place on an ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork. Bake at 325 for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly brown, do not over cook.

*Granny just sprinkles about 3 T of coconut, leaves out the nuts,and adds milk chocolate, dark and semi-sweet chocolate chips until she has the amount she wants. Granny bakes the cookies at 350 for 12 to 15 minutes depending on your oven.
