1 onion diced
1 package split pea soup mix
1 package flanken
7 c. water
3 carrots cut into chunks
3 zucchini cubed
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil. Add onions and saute for 5 minutes. Add split pea soup mix (excluding the spice packet). Bring to a boil.
Cook for 45 minutes. Add carrots, zucchini, spice packet, salt, and pepper. Cook additional 30 minutes. Remove flanken and set aside. Partially blend soup. Cube flanken and return to soup. Cook for another 10 minutes.
