1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
½ cup granulated sugar
1½ cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2½ tsp vanilla extract
2½ cup all-purpose flour
¾ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1½ 12-oz bags semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350º,

In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Mix together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Stir in the chocolate chips.

With your fingers, place golfball-size dough portions 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9 minutes, or until edges are light brown.

This is a really good chocolate chip cookie recipe. You will love these cookies. Guaranteed. I like them with chopped pecans added (1/2 cup, at least).
