Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1½ cup long grain parbroiled rice
1½ cups water
1½ cups chicken broth
1 heaping tbsp of chicken base
salt and pepper
¼ cup butter

Directions:
Directions:
For this recipe I use a 9 X 9 glass pan, but of course if you are making a double recipe you adjust the pan.

Soak rice in a bowl filled with cold water for about an hour and rinse a few times to remove the starch. Rinse well before adding to the pan it will cook in the oven in.

Add your seasoning, salt and pepper. Pour the chicken broth and water over the rice. Add the butter in dollops and mix into the rice. It will not melt but that is okay.

Place in 350º oven covered with foil. Let cook for about 45 minutes and lift the foil to see how your liquid is in the pan and if the rice is almost cooked. If there is liquid, cook longer, if you feel that it needs a bit more liquid add some.

Do not overcook the rice and if the rice looks a bit wet, remember the rice will still cook a bit longer before serving after you take it out of the oven

It you find your rice has over cooked and it is a bit sticky, just add some oil to the pan and mix the rice.
