½cup rice
1quart milk
½cup raisins
⅓cup butter
3 eggs
½ cup sugar
1teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon salt
Cinnamon or nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Mix rice with 2cups of the milk in the top of a double boiler over
hot water until tender. Add raisins and butter. Combine eggs, sugar,
vanilla, salt, and remaining milk. Stir into hot rice mixture. Pour into
a greased 1½ quart baking dish. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Set in pan
and fill pan half full of warm water. Bake in slow oven 325º for 30
minutes or until set.
Makes 6 servings.
