1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs (well beaten)
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
5 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup ground up raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar; add eggs. Add flavoring. Add dry ingredients. Add group up raisins. Mix an droll into long rolls. Refrigerate.

Slice thinly and bake on greased cookie sheet for 10 minutes at 350°.

Makes a very large batch.
