1 lb sausage, cooked and drained
1 lb French bread, sliced 1/2" thin
1/4 lb margarine or butter, spread of drizzled on bread
3 cups grated cheese, American, Colby, or Monterrey Jack
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
Pimentos for color
6 eggs, beaten
1 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp cayenne or black pepper
1-1/2 cups milk
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Grease casserole dish. Layer bread, sausage, vegetables, and cheese. Repeat. Pour egg mixture over this.

Refrigerate 12 to 24 hours.

Remove from refrigerator 1 hours before baking. Bake at 350º for 45 minutes.

This can also be baked without refrigerating.
