Karen DeLoria

2 tbsp vegetable oil
2 onions, minced
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tomatoes, peeled, seeded, chopped
1.5 lb lean ground pork
Salt & pepper
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground savory
1/2 c minced parsley
1/4 c water
1/4 to 1/2 c dry bread crumbs
Pie crust

Heat oil and add onions, garlic, and about a cup of water. Bring to a boil, and cook until water has evaporated and onions are soft. Stir in tomatoes. Mix in meat. Stir in salt, pepper, cloves, cinnamon, savory, parsley and 1/4 c water. Continue cooking over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, or until mixture is almost dry.

Put the bottom crust in a pie pan, and put it in a 350 oven until the crust is just starting to brown. Take out, and pour meat mixture into crust. Put the top crust on, and seal edges. Bake at 350 for about an hour until top crust browns.
