½ cup shortening or butter
1½ cups sugar
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. salt
1½ cups sour cream
1½ tsp. cinnamon
½ chopped nuts
chocolate chips (as desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening or butter and 1 cup of sugar, add eggs and vanilla. Blend. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Add flour mixture alternately with sour cream to egg mixture. Combine 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon. Pour 1/2 batter into greased tube pan. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar and then nuts and chocolate chips. Repeat layers. Bake at 350º for 30-45 minutes. Cool, loosen edges and remove from pan.
