1 cup walnuts, chopped
1 - 18 oz lemon cake mix
3 ¾ oz instant lemon pudding mix
4 eggs
¾ cup water
½ cup cooking oil
¼ cup ouzo
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Grease and flour 10" bundt or tube pan. Sprinkle walnuts on bottom. Combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, water, oil, and ouzo. Beat for 3 minutes. Pour over nuts and bake for 1 hour. Take out of oven and place on a rack for 30 minutes. Invert onto a serving plate. Prick with a skewer and pour on the honey syrup, letting it soak into the holes. Let stand for at least ½ hour and serve.
 

Honey Syrup
Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 - 2" piece of a cinnamon stick
2 cloves, whole
1 cup honey
2 tbsp ouzo
Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients, except honey and ouzo, in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook for 25 minutes without stirring or until mixture is syrupy. Stir in honey. Then stir in the ouzo.
