1 large tomato or 2 medium tomatoes
1 jalapeņo pepper or 2 serrano peppers
1 small garlic clove peeled and chopped
Enough water to cover the tomatoes and peppers
Salt to taste

Directions:
Directions:
1. Put the tomato and chiles to boil until tender (about 12-15 minutes).
2. Drain the water; Place the tomato and chilies in the blender, add the clove of garlic (or garlic powder) & salt. Blend until smooth.

I tend to use 1 chile for every tomato. It can be adjusted based on the spice level that you want.

***This is the salsa that I use for Chile con Carne.
