3/4 c. warm water
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/3 c. cocoa
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1T. soft butter
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3 T. ssugar

In mixer bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add shortening, salt 1/4 c. sugar, egg, cocoa, 1 c. flour. Beat 2 min. on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl. Cover with cloth and let rise in warm place until double in bulk (about 1 hr.). Stir down by beating about 25 strokes. Turn soft dough out on floured board. Roll into rectangle 12'x9". Spread with butter; sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mixture..Roll up, beginning at wide side. Pinch edges into roll. Cut into 12 pieces. Place in greased 9" square pan. Cover and let rise in warm ;lace until double (about 40 min.). Heat oven to 375. Bake 25 mins. Remove from pan and frost immediately with icing (3/4 c. powdered sugar moistened with cream or milk to spreading consistency). Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Serve warm.
