½ cup Liquid Honey
¼ cup Butter (melted)
¼ cup Pecan Halves
28 oz Sliced Peaches
½ cup soft Shortening
½ cup Sugar
¼ cup Liquid Honey
1 Egg
1½ cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
¼ tsp Baking Soda
½ tsp Salt
½ tsp Nutmeg
½ cup Milk

Peach Sauce.. recipe to follow

Directions:
Directions:
Heat over to 350º F. Have ready a 9" square pan.
Stir ½ cup honey, butter and pecans together in the cake pan.
Drain peaches thoroughly saving juices for sauce recipe.
Lay peach slices on top of honey mixture.
Beat shortening, sugar, ¼ cup honey and egg together until fluffy.
Sift flour, B. powder, soda, salt and nutmeg together.
Add to shortening- sugar mixture alternately with the milk beginning
and ending with dry ingredients. Stir just until blended after each addition.
Spoon over peaches in pan. Bake 55 to 60 mins.
Invert on serving plate, let stand for a minute or so all peaches mixture falls.
Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
