PASTRY DOUGH
2½ Cups Flour
1 tsp. salt
1 Cup Shortening
Milk
1 Egg yolk

FILLING
1 Cup crushed Corn Cereal
8-10 Baking Apples
1 Cup granulated Sugar
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 Egg white

TOPPING
1 Cup Powdered Sugar
1 T. Milk
½ tsp. Vanilla

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
PASTRY DOUGH: Combine flour, and salt; cut in shortening with a pastry cutter. Add enough milk to egg yolk to make ⅔ cup liquid; mix well. Stir into flour mixture. On floured surface, roll out ½ of dough to fit the bottom of a 10 x 15 ungreased jelly roll pan and place it in the pan with crust up the sides.

FILLING AND TOPPING: Sprinkle crushed cereal on dough in pan. Peel and slice apples and fill the crust. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll remaining dough to fit on top of the apples. Place on top, seal edges and score the top. Beat egg white until frothy, brush on crust. Bake at 350º for 45-60 minutes.
Combine topping ingredients and drizzel over warm bars.
