Crust for one-crust pie

3 eggs
1 lb. light brown sugar
1/4 cup butter, melted
pinch salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup pecans, chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Stir eggs lightly. Slowly beat the sugar and melted butter into the eggs. Add salt and vanilla. Line a pie plate with the pastry and sprinkle 1/2 of the pecans over the bottom. Pour the egg mixture into the unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle remaining pecans over the top of the mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for 40 minutes or until the pie is almost set. Reduce the heat to 225 degrees and cook for additional 15 minutes, or until the pie is thoroughly set.

Makes 8-10 servings.
