1 pound lean ground beef
salt and pepper to taste
3 cans (15 ounce beans - 1 kidney, 1 pinto, 1 black
3 cans (15 ounce) can Mexican style stewed tomatoes
2 stalks celery chopped
1 red bell pepper chopped
¼ cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried basil
dash Worcestershire sauce
½ cup red wine
1 onion chopped - may add more if desired
3 to 4 cloves garlic chopped
1 can hot green chili peppers

Alternative: 3 tablespoons brown sugar, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons cornstarch to thicken

Over medium high heat, using a large skillet, cook ground meat until evenly browned. Drain off excess grease and season with salt and pepper.

In a slow cooker, combine cooked beef, beans, tomatoes, celery, red bell pepper, and red wine vinegar. Season with chili powder, cumin, parsley, basil and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine and distribute ingredients evenly.

Cook on high for 6 hours or on low for 8 hours. Pour in wine during last 2 hours.
