1 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups plain flour
2 1/2 cups blended oatmeal (To blend, process in blender or food processor until it is a fine powder)
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
12 oz. chocolate chips (or chunks)
1- 4 oz. grated Hershey chocolate bar
1 1/2 cups chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix together with flour, oatmeal and seasonings. Add Chocolate chips, candy and nuts. Roll into balls and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet and bake at 375 for 6-10 minutes depending on oven. Don't overbake.

I don't always blend the oatmeal as I like the texture. You can experiment and see what you like best. Sometimes I will use 1 stick of butter and 1 stick of margarine. Either walnuts or pecans work well with these cookies.
