Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb split peas (take out weed seeds) & washed several times

8 C stock
1 1/2 tsp salt

3-4 medium potatoes
3 Carrots, sliced

4 Tbl butter
1/2 tsp dillweed
1 tsp oregano

Directions:
Directions:
Wash peas by putting them in a large mixing bowl and swirling them quickly with one hand as cold water runs into the bowl from the faucet. Pour water off and repeat swirling process until peas appear a bright, clean green.

Put stock and salt into soup pot and add split peas, bringing it to a boil. Peel potatoes, cut into chunks and add to pot. Add butter, dillweed, and oregano to soup 5 to 10 minutes before soup is done (when potatoes are soft and split peas have virtually become liquid).

Tip: Robbie adds ham, puts everything into a crock pot, turns it on low and goes to
work. It's done when she gets home.
