1 (11oz) can mandarin oranges

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve 1 pkg Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Blend Sherbet. Pour into a 1 ½ qt mold. Freeze until firm. Dissolve remaining Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Drain orange sections, measuring syrup; add cold water to make 1 cup. Add syrup mixture & orange sections to Jello. Pour over frozen layer. Chill until firm, at least 30 minutes. Unmold on lettuce, if desired. Makes 5 ¾ cups. 8- 10 servings.

Note: The frozen layer maybe made ahead & stored in freezer a week or two. Then add the second layer at least 30 minutes before serving salad. Substitute lime Jello & Lime Sherbet for the orange. Add 1 can (8 ¾ g) white grapes for the mandarin orange sections.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
From Aunt Mattie (Amber Boyd)
From Lorry - These are recipes from distant relatives. Most of them were collected by Aunt Robbie and given to me as a wedding present. A few are not even relatives. Ask your mom (or Grandma) to explain who they are or I have tried to explain myself as I went along. The brackets [ ] are my own comments. If there was something fun written on the recipe when it was given to me I put it in quotes.
