5 cups flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder (or might be 2 Tbl)
1 tsp sugar (or it might be 3 Tbl)
2 cups buttermilk
¾ cup shortening
½ cup warm water
1 pkg dry yeast (1 Tbl)

Directions:

Mix yeast with warm water & stir to dissolve. Add remaining ingredients & mix well. Place in refrigerator in covered bowl until needed. Bake in moderate oven until golden brown. Extra dough will keep in refrigerator 2 or 3 weeks.
