Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 cup white sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
½ cup cream or evaporated milk
2 Tbl dark corn syrup
2 Tbl butter or margarine
2 Tbl water
1 cup chopped nuts (opt)

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in heavy pan first. Add all other ingredients, except nuts, & cook 5 minutes after boiling is reached. Remove from heat & beat. Add nuts & pour into buttered 8 inch square pan. Cut into squares before cooled. Other options: add after cooked: coconut, chocolate bar instead of nuts.

My own memory says: do not over cook. For icing undercook slightly & ice cooled cake while still hot.
