1 pint 2% or 4% creamed cottage cheese

Directions:
Patties:
Stir together the dry cottage cheese, the creamed cottage cheese and the eggs. Sift together 2 cups flour, salt and Cream of Tartar. Add to cottage cheese mixture. Then add remaining flour to make handleable patties. Shape into 2" patties. Pat them in flour and place on generously greased pans. Bake at 350º for 10 minutes, then turn on broil and bake 10 minutes longer. Remove from oven. While patties are baking, prepare sauce.

Sauce:
Combine flour and milk in a shaker. Pour the whipping cream into saucepan and heat until bubbling. Add the flour mixture slowly, stirring constantly. When slightly thickened, add salt. Take off heat. In a casserole dish, layer the baked patties with some of the sauce in between each layer, ending with sauce on the top. Cover the patties and bake another 30 minutes at 325º.

These were often brought to camp ground cleanup day when I lived in Washington. Oh, so very good!!!
