Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Kielbasa or smoked sausage, finely sliced
(I use Hillshire Farms Beef Kielbasa. I use ½ of the u-shaped meat loop, freezing the other half for later)
½ head of green cabbage, cut into small chunks
(The smaller you cut the cabbage the faster it will cook. I generally do about 1 in squares)
Any spice you wish to add
(I generally do not need any as the smoked sausage gives it a savory smoked flavor, but I have had it with pepper and garlic, and with a little mixed seasoning)
Rice, cooked

Directions:
Directions:
Take the sliced kielbasa and brown in a skillet. Once browned, add the cabbage (and any spice you need) and cover with water. Stir. Cook until cabbage is tender and water is mostly gone. Serve over rice.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
From Chris and Karissa. This is one of the first ever meals I (Karissa) learned how to make. It was always a favorite of mine growing up and since it is simple, forgiving, and requires few ingredients it is a wonderful starter recipe. Mom (Christine) supervised and gave me notes the first time or two I made it and now I make it on a night I need a quick meal. It is still a favorite of mine.
