2/3 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
4 tsp. milk or sour cream
2 cups Flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter, sugar & vanilla, add egg beat till light and fluffy. Stir in milk. Sift together dry ingredients, blend into cream mixture. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out on lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes. Bake at 375 for 6-8 minutes.

I sometimes add sour cream instead of milk, and also put some almond extract in.
