9 inch baked pie shell
4 cups fresh berries (strawberries ♥)
3/4 cup water
3 tbsp cornstarch
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp lemon juice
1 cup sugar
whipped cream

Directions:
Directions:
Clean berries of choice.
Arrange 3 cups of nice berries in shell. Crush remaining cup in sauce pan. Add water and simmer 3-4 minutes. Strain off 1 cup juice, add water if necessary to make 1 cup. (remove from heat)
Combine starch, sugar and salt (whisk the powder to combine well). Add to berry juice. Bring to boil. Cook until thick and clear (3-4 minutes). Remove from heat and add in lemon juice. Pour over berries in shell, making sure every berry is covered. Chill.
Serve with sweetened shipped cream (or cool whip) and a few whole berries for garnish if desired.
