Ingredients:  
Cook a pork roast that tends to be fatty. Save the juice
Cook a beef heart or tongue. Save the juice
Cook a pound of liver only until done. (Overcooking will make it taste bitter)..throw away the juice

Grind all the cooked meat in a food processor (Cut into pieces and don't overload before grinding)

Add the juices together and bring to a boil.
Add oatmeal to cook into consistency like cereal
Add the ground meat.
Flavor with Mortons sausage seasoning, and a little allspice and cloves.

Put into a pan and cool.

Cut into blocks and refrigerate or freeze.

When ready to eat, fry until crusty, stir and fry until crusty again.

Serve

The problem with some old recipes is that they don't come with what amounts are needed. It was mostly just guess work. And will be guess work when you make this... But as bad as it sounds, it is really good and tastes great with scrambled eggs, etc...

This was a recipe that was always at the Simon family table for breakfast, served with scrambled eggs and Blueberry Buckle.
Another favorite of Elaine's kids was blood sausage... I could never get the courage to taste it, and do not want to even look at that recipe, let alone include it in this book... Sorry for those who pretended to like it!!
