4 eggs
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1 stick butter, softened
1 TB vanilla
2 c. flour
1 TB + 1 tsp. baking powder

Filling:
1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 c. sour cream (not low fat or it will be too runny)
1/2 c. sugar
1 TB. vanilla

Topping:
Raspberries or berries of choice
2 pkg. red glaze

Batter:
Beat eggs with the sugar until nice and firm. Add sour cream and butter and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and mix until nicely blended. Grease spring form pan and add batter into form. Bake for 20 mins at 400º. Let cool. Remove the ring of the spring form pan. Leave the cake on the bottom piece.

Topping:
Mix cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and vanilla until very smooth. Attach the cake ring around the cake and pour topping and make it smooth. Place raspberries, cherries, strawberries, etc. any berry of your choice on the topping. Cook the glaze according to the directions. Let cool for 1 min and top the berries with the glaze. Put cake in the fridge for a few hours so it gets firm.

This is from Sis. Julia Hildebrandt. She immigrated to Canada after getting married. This is a typical German cake, beautiful, delicious and not overly sweet.
