1 lb ground beef (the cheap kind)
2 cups water

1, 6oz can tomato paste
2 oz chili powder
2 Tbl. crushed red pepper
1 teas salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Use your hands to smush the ground beef and water together, in a sauce pan, breaking up the ground beef. Boil for 20 minutes.


Add the tomato paste, chili powder, crushed red pepper, salt and pepper.

Simmer for at least 90 minutes (the longer, the better), adding water as necessary to keep from boiling dry.

This recipe is from Alma Ford, a teacher at Zweibrucken American High School. Yann's is a hot dog stand in Fairmont, WV that has been open since the 1930's. The hot dogs are traditionally served with mustard, minced raw onion and the sauce. Be careful. The sauce is extremely spicy. You do need chocolate milk with them.
