Directions:
DO NOT PREHEAT THE OVEN! Line a 1-inch deep jelly roll pan with wax paper or parchment and spray with Baker’s Joy or a flour-based product. Melt butter and chocolate over a double boiler and add sugar. Stir around until well mixed and warm. Remove from heat. Stir in flour and salt. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well between each addition. Stir in vanilla and nuts. The dough will be stiff. Spread in pan. Place in oven. Bake at 300°F for 45 minutes. Turn oven off and leave another 15 minutes with the door closed. Remove and invert the pan on a large, flat rock. Peel off the paper. Let cool for an hour and then cut in very small pieces. Pack in a tin and hide. Every day you can enjoy a nice treat.
