10 pounds cucumbers
8 large onions
5 cups cider vinegar
2 tablespoon mustard seed
½ cup salt
2 large sweet peppers
5 cups sugar
1 teaspoon turmeric
½ teaspoon cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Wash cucumbers and slice as thin as possible. Chop the onions and peppers, combine with cucumbers and salt, let stand 3 hours and drain. Combine vinegar, sugar, and spices in a large kettle. Bring to a boil. Add drained cucumbers mixture, heat thoroughly, but do not boil. Pack while hot into sterilized jars. Seal at once. Boil in a water bath for 10 minutes.
