1 cup melted butter
2 cups brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 ½ cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 cups oatmeal

FUDGE FILLING
1 - 12oz package chocolate chips (I like 60% cocoa)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 T. butter
a pinch of salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Grease a 14 x 18 inch jelly roll pan. Preheat oven to 350º.
Mix the 1st 8 ingredients in order given in a large bowl. Press 3/4 of this dough into the prepared baking pan.
Melt Fudge filling ingredients together over a double boiler (or in microwave). When all chocolate is melted and smooth, spread the fudge mixture evenly over the oatmeal layer.
Drop remaining oatmeal dough over fudge filling using a small spoon. Press down gently and bake 20-25 minutes.
