3/4 c. butter, softened
1 pkg (8 oz.) cream cheese
2 c. sugar
In large bowl cream until light and fluffy.

Add:
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. mashed bananas
1/2 tsp vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix well.

Fold in 1 c. chopped pecans
Pour into 2 greased bread pans and then sprinkle 1 c. chopped pecans on top.
Bake 350º 1-1 1/4 hours.

Orange Glaze:
1 c. powdered sugar
3 TB orange juice
1 tsp. grated orange peel

Whisk glaze ingredients well and drizzle over baked loaves as soon as they come out of the oven. Let cool 10 mins before removing from pans to wire racks. This is Meme's recipe. We always are so glad when she brings some upstairs to share with us! Makes 2 loaves.
