4 egg whites
1 c white sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp vinegar
2 c whipping cream
Fresh fruit
1/2 c toasted slivered almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Whip egg whites until they form peaks. Gradually add sugar, vanilla and vinegar. Continue beating until very stiff.

Spread on waxed paper or brown paper on a cookie sheet in a circle, slightly smaller than desired size. Bake one hour at 275. Turn off oven and leave meringue several hours to dry. Top with whipped cream, fresh fruit and toasted almonds.
