25 oz. vodka
3 cups water, boiling
4 cups white sugar
3 oz. instant coffee
1 vanilla bean, broken in 3

Directions:
Use ½ cup water to dissolve instant coffee. Mix balance of water with sugar, vanilla and coffee. Bring just to boil. When cool add vodka. Let stand one month in warm location (the longer the better).
