* 8 Tbsp butter, divided
* 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
* 2 Tbsp cornstarch
* 1 cup half & half cream
* 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl mix together sugar and cornstarch, set aside. In a sauce pan heat together half & half and butter, stirring until butter is melted, add brown sugar and cornstarch, stir to combine and cook until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 minutes, remove from heat and stir in 1 Tbsp of butter and vanilla. Add a little more cream if the mixture seems to thick. Serve as a topping for ice cream.
