1 pkg or 2 1/4 tsp yeast
1/2 c lukewarm water
1/4 c shortening
1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 tsp salt
1 c boiling water
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve 1 pkgs (2 1/4 tsp) of yeast in 1/2 c lukewarm water. Place 1/4 c shortening, 1/4 c sugar, 1 1/4 tsp salt, and 1 c of boiling water in large bowl. Stir to melt shortening and dissolve sugar. Add 1 beaten egg. Stir in 3 1/2 c flour. Add yeast mixture. Beat until smooth with a sturdy wooden spoon.

Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.


Grease muffin tins. Grease and flour hands. Shaped dough into 18 rolls.


Brush tops with melted butter. Let rise until double in size.


Bake at 425 deg for 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned on tops.
