Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
3/4 stick Crisco Shortening
2 tbs. Milk
1 Large Egg
1 tsp. Salt
1c Simi-sweet Chocolate Chips
1c M&Ms or Nuts
1 1/4c Firmly Packed Light Brown Sugar
1 tbs. Vanilla extract
1 3/4c Flour
3/4 tsp. Baking Soda

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine shortening, brown sugar, milk, & vanilla
2. Beat in egg
3. Combine flour, salt, & baking soda
4. Mix in the flour mixture into the shortening mix slowly
5. add chocolate and nuts
6.Bake @ 375 8-10 min, fir chewy cookies and 11-12 min. For crispy.

Great grandma Lebo/Goyer always made these smaller and crispy and stored them in the plastic tubs that ice cream comes in.
