2 pounds pickling cucumbers
4 cups water
¼ cup kosher or canning salt
1 tablespoon pickling spice
4 - 6 sprigs fresh dill

Directions:

Wash cucumbers well, slice of the stems and blossom ends.

Wash 2 quart mason jars in hot soapy water; rinse well.

Place 1 - 2 sprigs of dill and ½ tablespoon of pickling spice in each jar.

Pack cucumbers into prepared jars as tightly as you can.

Mix salt and water in a large stainless steel bowl until salt is dissolved.

Pour enough water into jars to cover cucumbers. Seal and refrigerate.

It takes on average 5 to 7 days to be done.
