Bread Pudding

3 Eggs, beaten
4 c. 2% Milk
2 c. Sugar
4½ tsp. Vanilla Extract
3 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
½ tsp. Ground Nutmeg
10 Croissants, torn into pieces
1 c. Toffee Bits
1 c. Pecans, chopped and toasted
1 c. Milk Chocolate Chips

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
2. Gently stir in the croissants, toffee bits, pecans and chips; let stand for 15 minutes or until croissants are softened.
3. Transfer to a greased 13x9 in. baking dish and bake at 350º for 30-34 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
 

Sauce


Ingredients:

1 c. Sugar
½ c. Half and Half Cream
¼ c. Butter, cubed
½ tsp. Vanilla Extract

Directions:

1. Bring the sugar, cream and butter to a boil in a small saucepan.
2. Reduce the heat; simmer, uncovered for 5 minutes.
3. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla.
4. Serve warm over bread pudding.

Yield: 12 servings (1¼ c. sauce)
