1½ cup butter
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt (don't add if using salted butter)
5 cups flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cream together butter and sugar. Mix in eggs one at a time. Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Chill dough for two hours.

Heat oven to 400ºF.

Roll out cookies to desired thickness and use cookie cutters to make shapes. Bake for 6-8 minutes,.
