2½ cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
1 egg yolk (keep egg white)
1 cup corn flakes or rice krispies
8-10 apples
¾ - 1 cup white sugar
1 -2 tsp cinnamon

Glaze:
1 cup icing sugar
3-4 tsp milk

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375ºF.
Combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening. Beat egg yolk and add enough milk to make ⅔ cup liquid. Mix with flour. Roll half of dough out to fit a cookie sheet. Sprinkle dough with cornflakes, top with peeled and chopped apples. Combine cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle on top of apples. Roll out 2nd batch of dough and place on top of apples and pinch together edges.
Brush with beaten egg white and bake for 50 minutes.
When finished baking, combine icing sugar and milk and drizzle over warm bars.
