¾ cup shortening
2 eggs, beaten
¾ cup sugar
1 cup cold water
½ cup lukewarm water
1 cup scalded milk
7 ½ cups flour
2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp yeast

Directions:
Directions:
Combine shortening and scalded milk, stir until shortening is melted. Combine eggs, sugar and salt. Beat in cold water. Soften the yeast in ½ cup warm water. Combine mixtures and add flour. Cover and chill overnight. Shape into rolls and let rise in a greased or sprayed roll or cake pan. Bake at 425º for 15-20 minutes.

Having a batch of refrigerator rolls cooling in the fridge means you will never have to delete them from the menu for a big family gathering. Rolls are usually the first thing to go when you are pressed for time, or it is for me anyway! This recipe was given to Veloy Fullmer by Robin Kvist.
