Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 unbaked 9½-10" pie crust

Apple Filling:
5 large apples, peeled and diced (3 tart, 2 sweet)
⅔ c. sugar
5 t. flour
1¼ t. cinnamon

Topping:
⅔ c. flour
½ c. sugar
¼ c. cold butter (½ stick)

Directions:
Directions:
Place apples in crust. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples.
For topping, combine flour and sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Spread over apples.

Bake at 450º for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350º and bake for 50-60 minutes until topping is golden brown and filling is bubbly. You will want to cover the edge of the crust as it will get really dark. You can buy a ring that covers the edge of the pie crust, or simply use strips of foil to cover.

Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Note: You can use any combination of apples that you like. You can use 5 tart (eg: Granny Smith),
or a combination of tart and sweet. I like to use three Granny Smith and two Golden Delicious.
