4 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
12 ounces chocolate chips
2/3 cup chopped nuts
Directions:
Directions:
Combine oatmeal, brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla and salt. Mix well. Press firmly into well-greased jelly roll pan. Bake at 450º degrees for 12 minutes. (Mixture will be brown and bubbly.) Cool thoroughly. To remove from pan, loosen edges, invert pan, and tap firmly. Melt chocolate chips and spread on bars. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill until chocolate sets. Store in refrigerator.
