1 c. Brown Sugar
1 c. Sugar
1/2 lb. Butter
2 Eggs
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 1/2 c. Flour
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
12 oz pkg Chocolate Chips
Nuts -- optional
1. c. Quick Cooking Oats -- optional

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, cream sugars and butter. Add eggs, vanilla. In separate bowl, mix flour soda, salt and baking powder. Add flour mixture gradually to the creamed ingredients. Add oats and chocolate chips, stir.

Use ice cream scoop to mold cookies (1/4 cup per cookie.) Place on baking sheet. Bake @ 400º for approximately 12 minutes. Makes 12 cookies.

The story is that Mrs. Field’s Cookies was selling their chocolate chip cookies recipe for $100 in the 70’s and my mom’s best friend purchased one.
