4 sq. chocolate melted in ½ c hot water. Add ½ c sugar.
2 c flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp soda
½ c butter
1¼ c sugar
3 eggs
⅔ c milk
1 tsp vanilla

Combine ingredients as you would for any scratch cake, I suppose.

M'Nip's recipe cards were without guidance-just a list of ingredients. When it came to the frosting, which was more like a layer of candy atop the cake, I had, at some point made notes, which may or may not be accurate!
