1 lb Canned Northern Beans
3 T. Molasses
1 tsp. Dry Mustard
Ketchup
1 Sm. Diced Onion
Salt & Pepper
1/2 Pound Bacon

Directions:
Directions:
Mix beans with some ketchup just enough to make them a pinkish red,
then add all the other ingredients together (except bacon) in a large mixing bowl.
Pour into a deep baking dish. Place bacon strips on top.

Bake @ 350º for 1 1/2 to 2 hours

What wonderful memories of my Grandma making baked beans. I can still see the pot on the stove with the beans soaking and the picture perfect end result. Picnics wouldn't of been the same growing up without Grandmas baked beans.

The recipe was modified to use canned beans but you can buy the dry beans and soak them overnight and use them if you would rather.
